Skin Needling is a skin treatment designed for shallow scars and facial lines. It is a form of collagen induction therapy, the micro needles puncture the skin, which are supposed to stimulate collagen (a building block of your skin tissue that creates depth in your skin).
How it’s done?
Skin needling works by penetrating the epidermis and dermis layer of
skin. The process should not be painful but with pinpoint bleeding.
The micro needles will leave micro channels into the skin. This gives
a pathway for skin products to penetrate far more easily, boosting their
effectiveness massively. These channels should close up within an hour.
The skin naturally begins its response to the “trauma” of the skin needles.
Collagen and elastin is generated and added to the existing stock of
the skin. These bulks up the thickness, creating great looking, firmer
and healthier looking skin.
What to Expect After the treatment?
Immediately after the procedure your skin is going to look slightly
pink. Underneath your skin, new collagen and elastin are forming and
gradually over a period of 4 to 6 weeks you will notice your skin tightening.
Your skin will actually look a little bit brighter as well. With regards
to repeat treatments it is advised that you have the treatments about
4 to 6 weeks apart. You may need a course of 3 depending on the amount
of sun damage or wrinkling or depending on the desired result that you
want to achieve.
